Doodle 4 Google Competition

Who Can Enter:

To be eligible to enter the Contest, an Entrant must: (a) be a U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. legal resident (i.e. must be able to show proof of legal permanent residence, for example, a “green card”); (b) be enrolled in a private or public elementary or secondary school (grades K-12) or a homeschool (grades K-12) in the United States (collectively, “U.S. School(s)”); and (c) have obtained a parent’s or legal guardian’s prior permission.

How To Enter:

The Contest begins on January 18, 2012 at 6:00:00 A.M. Pacific Time (PT) Zone in the United States and ends on May 17, 2012 at 11:59:59 P.M. PT (“Contest Period”).

To enter the Contest, visit the Contest website located at google.com/doodle4google/ (“Contest Site”) during the Contest Period and follow the instructions that appear on the two-page official entry form (“Entry Form”)

LIMIT ONE (1) ENTRY PER ENTRANT.

What You Can Win:

The National Winner will win a $30,000 college scholarship (issued in the form of a check) to be used at the school of his or her choice; a trip to New York City on May 17, 2012 (retail value approximately $1,500); a $50,000 grant toward the establishment/improvement of a computer lab for the U.S. School where the Entrant is enrolled as indicated on the Entry Form (homeschools are ineligible for the $50,000 grant toward establishment/improvement of a computer lab); a Chromebook (retail value approximately $299); a Wacom digital design tablet (retail value approximately $200); and a T-shirt with his or her Google Doodle printed on it (retail value approximately $15). The National Winner’s Doodle will be displayed on the www.google.com home page in the United States for one day. If the National Winner is enrolled in a homeschool, the homeschool in which he or she is enrolled will receive a $5,000 technology stipend (issued in the form of a check), and the National Winner may donate $45,000 to a public library or public school in their community that meets Google’s criteria for awarding grants.

The four (4) National Finalists who do not become the National Winner will win a $5,000 college scholarship (issued in the form of a check) to be used at the school of his or her choice, a Wacom digital design tablet (retail value approximately $200), a trip to New York City on May 17, 2012 (retail value approximately $1,500), and a T-shirt with his or her Google Doodle printed on it (retail value approximately $15).

The forty-five (45) State Winners who did not become National Finalists will win a trip to the New York City on May 17, 2012 (retail value approximately $1,500), a Wacom digital design tablet (retail value approximately $200), and a T-shirt with his or her Google Doodle printed on it (retail value approximately $15).

The two hundred (200) State Finalists who did not become State Winners will each receive a Doodle 4 Google winner’s certificate.
